USA have taken the appropriate action to provide you with an Economy
line of lower cost Walk-In Bathtubs. However, keep in mind
that these Economy models are lesser quality tubs
than our other models. Yet, many internet marketing companies
are selling these same Economy models as their "leading" models
(or "only" models) they offer... and you need to be aware that they
are ALL MADE IN CHINA!
Background: Walk-In
Bathtubs Made in
CHINA:
In late
2006 several marketing companies started to emerge on the
internet that do NOT manufacturer their own Walk-In Bathtubs, but
instead import inexpensive Walk-In Bathtubs from a lower
cost, lesser quality manufacturing facility in
CHINA. There is nothing wrong in
doing that… However, many of these “new” internet companies, as well
as many of the “established” Walk-In Bathtub internet
companies, deliberately try to “hide the fact” that
their tubs are made in China… and some even deceptively state
that their tubs are NOT made in China… when, in fact,
they most definitely are.
Additionally,
there are also some U.S. based
companies that import their Walk-In Bathtub’s "shell" or
the entire “shell and frame” assembly from
China, (these,
of course, are the most critical components of the tub
for strength, durability and appearance)… and then they
attach various parts to it (such as jets, motors, etc.) here in
the U.S. The deception comes in when
they cleverly try to mislead their U.S. consumers into thinking
that these are U.S.A. manufactured tubs by stating that their
Walk-In Tubs are Proudly
“Assembled” in the U.S.A.,
….
and some
even brazenly state that their tubs are “Made” in the
U.S.A., which,
of course, is not true.
Hiding the fact that their tubs are made-in-China allows
these internet marketers to sell them to you at a much higher price
than they are really worth, yielding huge profits for
them.
Our View at Independent
Living USA:
We offer
the same quality made-in-China tubs as the others companies market
on the internet… BUT, we sell them at SUBSTANTIALLY LOWER
PRICES than the others. Here’s why:
Compared
to other Walk-In Tubs, these made-in-China tubs cost a lot less to
manufacture, they are of lesser quality and they are sold to
internet companies in the USA at their “true worth”,
which relatively speaking isn't a whole lot of money. Therefore, all things
considered, these made-in-China tubs SHOULD be offered to you, the
consumer, at very low prices.
Sadly for our industry, the majority of USA internet
marketing companies selling these made-in-China tubs deliberately
disguise their country of origin so they can “inflate the tub’s
PERCEIVED worth” and sell it to you, the consumer, at high
prices with exorbitant profits for them.
The
difference with Independent Living
USA is that
these Economy models are only a small segment of our huge and

“accommodate”
and help those people whose buying decisions are ruled
