constructed
of
Lucite®
cast acrylic with built-in Microban® antimicrobial protection.
Microban protection inhibits the growth of bacteria that can cause
stains and odors on the tub surface. The continuous antimicrobial
protection makes these TOTAL
ACRYLIC tub
surface easier to clean and keeps it cleaner between cleanings. And
because it’s built-in during manufacturing, it won’t wash off or
wear for an added level of cleanliness that will last the life of
these
TOTAL ACRYLIC model Walk-In
Bathtubs.
· The
1" tubular steel frame
provides structural integrity and features a protective coating to
resist rust.
· Aluminum
Door Anchors
–
Heavy-duty L-shape aluminum anchors inside the door add structural
integrity and provide a stabilizing foundation for the door hinge.
· Stabilizing
Steel Door Frame
–
A gusseted U shape steel frame is built into the door frame during
manufacture. It provides stabilization for the entire door and door
frame. This absolutely water tight door takes almost 12 man hours to
fabricate. The
door will support up to 500 pounds – extremely important as some
people will use the door for support, even if advised not
to.
· Double
Door Seals
–
Durable
double door seals ensure that the
TOTAL ACRYLIC models walk
in door will not leak.
Seals
are replaceable should they be damaged.
· The
entire front skirt (door side) of these
TOTAL ACRYLIC models are
removable. The plumbing and mechanical components can be accessed
separately, as the skirt is composed of two pieces that seamlessly
join under the door.
· The
entire front skirt is insulated with rigid foam plastic thermal
insulation board composed of environmentally sound, closed cell foam
bonded to a durable white-matte (non-glare) aluminum facer and a
reflective reinforced aluminum facer. This dramatically decreases
noise, and helps maintain water temperature.
· These
TOTAL ACRYLIC Walk-In
Bathtubs can be roughed in, OR installed above the floor. There is a
trimmable panel under the front skirt to accommodate either
installation mode.
· THE
LOWEST STEP-IN THRESHOLD IN THE WALK-IN BATHTUB
INDUSTRY!
If
these
TOTAL ACRYLIC models are
roughed in, the
step in is only 3” high.
If installed above floor, the leveling legs can be adjusted for up
to a 6” step-in height.

safety suction fitting has an automatic safety feature which shuts
it off immediately upon contact with anything other than water,
including hair.

appropriate certifications:
They are IAPMO
approved, and meet or exceed all ANSI Z 124.1–1955, ASME A112, and
19.7–M–1995, UL 1795 standards.
In
fact, some of the IAPMO test results are quite incredible, for
example:
The
door was opened and closed 40,000 times and still sealed
flawlessly.
The acrylic surface was subjected to 10,000 scrub
cycles and there was insignificant reduction in surface gloss.
A 1.5” round, 1/2lb steel ball was dropped from a
height of 36” to strike three different points on the bottom of the
tub, and from 24” to strike three different points on the rim.
Subsequently, there were no visible cracks or chips.
